“Attention Golfers - Here’s A Really Cool Way to Spend the Winter”
Golfers know that there is nothing like the feel of swinging a golf club especially if you haven’t swung one in a while. It’s the sweet feel of the grip and the club in your hands that feels so good. And, for most golfers it’s especially sweet at this time of year since it’s been so long since we have been on the course.
Anyone who has ever played golf knows exactly what I am talking about. It’s like electricity travels from the head of the club through the shaft and then up through your arms and into the rest of your body. No matter how I am feeling when I think of that feeling I can’t help, but feel good.
The problem is that since I have not played a round of golf in almost 4 months I really am missing the game! At first it wasn’t too bad, but now as the months wear by it’s becoming increasingly difficult.
I know that I will be getting out my clubs and teeing off soon. However, since it is still somewhat cold outside I’m still looking for ways to spend my time. It’s this time of year when golfers become very creative at finding things to do other than golf. And, I thought that I had tried everything to keep myself occupied until recently when I found one really cool thing that I had overlooked.
Have you ever tried Wii golf? It is by far the best way that I have found to play golf without having to go outside. I have never been into video games, but this is so much fun. I would never have found it except that one cold Saturday, someone asked me to play and since I had nothing else to do I gave it a try. Wow, what an experience! It was so much fun that I didn’t want to stop playing.
It was amazing how close it came to the real game. After choosing my club I got to swing the club just like real golf. There is even a power meter to show you how hard you are swinging - I wish I could get that when I get on the course. The Wii even lets you make strategic decisions, like cutting corners and going over water just like in real golf.
Need less to say this was exactly what I had been looking for all winter.
