How to Make Your Diet Work AFTER the Holidays
OK, so it’s the new year and the holidays are over. Your clothing is feeling a little tight and you are wondering why. Do you remember that just a couple of short weeks ago it seemed everywhere that you went there where cookies, candies, high calorie alcoholic drinks and egg nog?
Did you find yourself telling yourself that it was OK to indulge, after all you would be starting your new diet in January? Or, have you just said what the heck, “I’ve been bad all year, why stop now?”. Let’s face it, it was the holiday season and as far as healthy eating went, obstacles were all over the place.
By now many people are beginning to realize that they may have over done it.
Maybe you have noticed your waistline feeling a little tight or maybe you are feeling sluggish going up and down stairs that last month were no problem or maybe you just don’t like the way that you look in the mirror! It doesn’t really matter - what does matter is the average person gains between 5 and 10 pounds during the holiday season.
It’s time to pay for those moments that you just couldn’t help yourself. So here is a list of ideas that I have put together to help you take that weight off and then keep it off.
1.No matter how badly you want to stop eating altogether, it’s not going to work. Your body needs the right amount of nutrients to survive. Yes, your body will burn the excess fat that you have stored and use it for energy, but like with any radical change it’s going to be very difficult for your body as well as your mind to accept. Most people who go this route FAIL!
2.Walking is great exercise and you don’t have to spend a lot of money and join a gym. In fact, all you have to do is just get up and move for at least 30 minutes 3 to 5 times a week.
3.Eat less, but more often. This is best way to feel full and gain the least excess weight. Small meals and several snacks several times a day is the way to go.
4.Make a commitment to maintain your new lifestyle. Be alert at all times as to what you are eating. It’s very easy to slip with unhealthy snacks here and there. But, all that’s going to do is make you feel bad. Don’t do it! You will get depressed which leads to doing it again and again. Before you know it, you will be back where you started. Be careful!
It’s not going to be easy, but if you exercise good judgment, you will shed those extra pounds in no time. And don’t forget, any nutrition plan needs to be used in conjunction with a good vitamin supplement. We will send you a FREE sample of Body Balance a great tasting liquid multi vitamin just by filling in the box on the right side of this page. I wish you success!
