How to Relieve Joint Pain
Have you ever suffered from joint pain? It affects about a third of the world’s population and if you are an athlete or at least participate in a sport such as golf or tennis you may have felt the pain in your elbow, wrist or ankle. Joint pain is something that can be acquired through injury or perhaps you even have it in your genes (hereditary). Joint pain can come in many forms. Diseases such as: Osteoarthritis, Septic Arthritis, Tendonitis and Bursitis can cause joint pain or have it as an effect.
Have you ever wondered if it was caused by Arthritis? Well it may be, because one of the most common causes of joint pain is Arthritis. Arthritis is classified as a joint disorder caused by inflammation in one or more joints but, it could also be Bursitis which is an inflammation of the bursa caused by the sacs filling with fluid. These are not to be confused and/or classified as the same, because they are both very different although no doubt both are very, very painful. However, it could be a number of other things.
Did you know that there are also some illnesses that can cause joint pain? Illnesses such as the Flu, Measles, the Mumps, Rubella, Chicken Pox, Lime Disease and Rheumatic Fever. Steroid withdrawal can even lead to joint pain.
But, the most common causes of joint pain are over exertion or overuse of a joint. An example of this is what is known as “tennis elbow” or a “trick knee”. Even straining or sprains can cause joint pain, sometimes right away, but it may take a day or two before the pain shows up. Have you ever finished a round of golf or a game of tennis and felt fine just to wake up the next morning with pain? If you have ever felt pain in a joint here are a few remedies that you can apply at home that will alleviate the pain if it becomes to be too bad.
The best way to help alleviate pain includes rest, it is important to rest the affected area. Another thing that will help is a warm complication or soaking the joint in warm water. Massaging the affected area is also helpful, as is light stretching exercises.
If after these remedies you still have pain, you should see your doctor. Your doctor can conduct tests and prescribe anti-inflammatory medicine, pain medication and/or perform a procedure called arthrocentesis in which he uses a needle to remove fluid from the affected joint. Arthrocentesis sounds alarming, but does help to ease much of the pain. Many people have had it done and most have never regretted having it because they can once again go about their daily lives, pain free.
Joint pain is very common and can be very chronic. And, if you have ever felt pain in a joint you know just how painful it can be. To guard against it or eliminate it completely we recommend Body Balance by Life Force. A once a day liquid multi-vitamin that will help strengthen joints at the cellular level.

Aloe Vera is a natural anti-inflammatory. One of the best things you can drink for joint problems. Garlic, too, is incredible. I’d recommend Kyolic Aged Garlic extract. (I take both Aloe Vera juice and Kyolic Garlic daily.) In the interest of full disclosure, the website (Aloe Vera Studies Organization) is mine, I’m the Webmaster. But, with arthritis affecting my life (and joints!) I felt this should be posted.

David, thanks for the post - very information. Aloe Vera and Garlic work very well. One product that I suggest, Body Balance ( in my sidebar ) has Aloe Vera as one of it’s main ingredients. I also found your website very informative and recommend it. Scott
